My Site – My Topics
In 2008 – I started a website for writers. I named it Speak Without Interruption. It lasted for eight years and was somewhat successful. A couple of years ago – I attempted to duplicate the success of SWI with TopicTakeUp – it did not happen. In May 2025, I decided to change the site to one where I could post my Rhymes along with extremely intermittent prose. There is no other reason for this site’s existence.
This is why I like to write Rhymes:
The World is a Rhyme – I See it that Way
A Game of All Words I just Have to Play.
Not really A Poem from All that I’ve Read,
A Rhythm that’s There – a Beat in My Head.
I put it All Down for Others to See,
It’s what I Enjoy – a Challenge to Me.
To Fill Out the Lines with Letters that Spell,
The Beat and The Story I’m Trying to Tell.
I Hope it’s A Joy I won’t Lose with Time,
As Up the Age Ladder I so Slowly Climb.
Don’t Want it to Fade and Turn into Garbles,
A Sign that I’m Done and Losing My Marbles.
This is why I have this website:
Like Old Tires at the Dump,
Or Used Tennies in a Clump.
Maybe Clothes no longer Wear,
Everything must be Somewhere.
Napkins, Cardboard, Old Notebooks,
Shoved in Drawers and Hidden Nooks.
Written there Or on some Sites,
Fathered during Days and Nights.
Rhymes I’ve written In this Case,
Wanted Them all in One Place.
Here They’ll stay As is my Will,
Long as I can Pay my Bill.
