My 80 Revelation

Now that I’m Eighty – All Filters are Gone,
My Self Reward for Living so Long.
In this Age Bracket – New Enrollee,
Think I’ll Enjoy – Just being Me.

Super Geezer – Just a Teaser,
Civilities rambunctious Sneezer.
Belch at any Time of Day,
No Concerns of What they Say

Have no Time for Politics,
Pick my Nose just for Kicks.
Speak my Mind without a Care,
Take a Walk most Anywhere.

Cranky if I want to Be,
Dirty Jokes and Laugh with Glee.
Dot to Dot on my Age Spots,
Hide my Trash in Flower Pots.

Keep an Eye on the Forecast,
Answer Questions never Asked.
Complain about the Younger Age,
Read a Book to Feel the Page.

Thumb through Photos in my Hand,
Skip the Meals if they’re Bland.
Talk about my Ache and Pain,
To Heck with Staying in My Lane.

Just say No to Invitations,
Even Friends and Close Relations.
Mute my Phone to Take a Nap,
Ditch GPS for a Map.

Relish Memories of the Past,
Years flew by Way too Fast.
Grateful that I’m still Around,
Inner Peace I have Found.
