This is our second vehicle – I posted earlier about our other vehicle “Old Red.” Our second vehicle is a 2024 Lexus TX 500h. It’s the first hybrid that we have owned and we are quite pleased with it. It has a little over 13,500 miles on it now and has averaged 25.3 mph over that mileage – according to a display on the dash. It is really a sweet ride – has a lot of power response when needed. It has more options than I will ever be able to figure out or use. Basically, I put it in gear – push on the gas peddle – and it moves.
We purchased it the end of March in 2024 – so for us this is it’s birthday. I decided it felt left out so I wanted to give it a little ink today. Plus, this is my site and I can put any stupid post on it that I want.
We purchased our first Lexus in 2009. We purchased another one in 2013 and then this one in 2024. The main reason for us purchasing the last two vehicles is because of “Willie.” He is the Service Consultant – at the dealership – and he has been with us since the beginning. He is a great guy and has always been there for us regarding our service needs – regular or emergency. We have been dealing with him so long that we consider him part of our family.
I took the photo of the TX in an exclusive neighborhood that overlooks Kansas City, Missouri. There used to be a huge mansion there but it burned down – leaving only the brick structure seen in the photo. For some reason – nothing was ever rebuilt on the lot. An old guy owned the house along with his much younger wife. He has since died – don’t know what happened to the wife?
Anyway, Happy Belated Birthday to our TX and hope it keeps getting us from here to there for a few more years.
He is the very best!!! I never had a son – but if I did – I would like him to be just like Willie. Thank you for your comments.
What a wonderful idea on the birthday of your latest Lexus. Willie is my son and I agree with everything you mentioned about your tech. He has been with Hendrick Lexus a long time now and he loves his dealership and the product they offer our community. A son anyone would love to have. Thank you again from a proud father. 🙂
