My Walk in the Rain

Thunder/Lightning – What a Pain,
When Moved on – Gentle Rain.
Though was Wet – Did not Balk,
It Was time to Take a Walk.

Rain Duds, Rain Boots, and Rain Hat,
Suited Up in nothing Flat.
Headed down My gloss Driveway,
Soothing with the Clouds of Gray.

Splashed in Puddles – Walked through Weeds,
All Around the Water Beads.
In my Mind I’m changing Gears,
Takes Me back to Younger Years.

Did not Meet another Soul,
As I went About my Stroll.
Just for Me was Sure the Case,
To Enjoy this Time and Space.

I returned – the Raining Stopped,
On the Deck some Leaves had Dropped.
Flowers sure Were standing Tall,
Grateful For this Lesser Squall.

Was sure Soaked from Head to Toe,
In the Future I will Go,
Gentle Rain – If and When,
I’ll suit Up and Walk Again!
